Udokan copper mine project

Report summary

Udokan is one of the largest unexploited copper deposits in the world and accounts for 60% of identified copper reserves within Russia. The deposit is located in a remote region of the Kalar district in the Trans-Baikal Territory (East Siberia), 30km from Chara rail station. Climate conditions are extreme and there is no existing infrastructure. Additionally, the project area is exposed to high seismic activity.
