Report summary
Located near Corumbá in Brazil’s Mato Grosso do Sul state, the Urucum mine is part of a strategically integrated mining complex operated by LHG. The site, which was part of Vale's Midwestern System prior to LHG purchase in 2022, includes iron ore and manganese extraction. The assets in the region are known for their high-grade reserves and simplified processing, despite long and challeging river logistics. The Urucum mine had its operation halted in 2016 when operated by Vale, and resumed its production in 2023 following new guidance under LHG Mining structure.
