Vorontsovskoye gold mine
Report summary
Voro is an open pit mine, operating in the Sverdlovsk Region, Russia. Conventional truck-and-shovel methods are adopted, with the primary and oxidised ore stockpiled and blended prior to reporting to the 950kt/a processing plant located 6km away. The processing plant is consists of primary crushing in a jaw crusher, before three-stage grinding, the ore then undergoes leaching prior to reporting to the carbon-in-pulp (CIP) circuit, or it is processed via heap leaching, loaded carbon then undergoes desorption, electrolysis and smelting to produce a dore.
