Report summary
Mining at the Wahgnion comprises open pit utilising conventional drill, blast and haul mining techniques. The process plant consists of a conventional carbon-in-leach (CIL) circuit with throughput ranging from 2.2Mt/a to 2.5Mt/a. First gold pour was in August 2019 and commercial production was declared on 1 November 2019. Since achieving commercial production, the plant continues to outperform, processing ~25% more material than its designed capacity.
