Olimpiada gold mine
Report summary
Olimpiada is the largest gold mine in Russia and one of the top ten producers in the world. Olimpiada is the highest individual contributor to Polyus` gold production. In 2019, the mine produced 1,389koz of gold as the volume of ore processed increased in line with a number of improvement initiatives. The mine is comprised of the Vostochny and Zapadny pits with mining comprised of conventional open pit methods and the ore is treated onsite in mills 1, 2 and 3, which have a combined nominal capacity in excess of 14mt/a.
