Wetar copper mine
Report summary
Wetar copper mine is located on the north-central coast of Wetar island, under the Maluku Province of Indonesia. There are three economic deposits which are situated within 3.5km, Kaki Kuning, Lerokis and Partolang pits. Ores mined from the open pits are stacked on a heap leach operation, and copper extracted through two SxEw plants with a total of 28kt/a copper cathode production capacity. Wetar operation is fully owned by PT Merdeka Copper Gold.
