Wuqia Wulagen zinc mine
Report summary
Wuqia Wulagen zinc-lead mine is located in Wuqia County, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. It is an open-pit mine producing lead concentrate and zinc concentrate. The mine was commissioned in 2012 with a capacity of 5 kt/d. An expansion project in 2015 expanded to current capacity of 10 kt/d. Another expansion project of 15kt/d is currently underway, which is aimed to target processing of low grade ore stockpile. The expansion is expected to be completed by end year 2021, which will bring total capacity to 25kt/d.
