Report summary
Yomboyeli (previously Forecariah) is a small scale mine in the Kindia Region of Guinea producing a mixture of DSO lump and fines. Yomboyeli's development was fast-tracked and it commenced production in 2012. Its closure was also fast tracked with falling iron ore prices and high costs seeing the mine close within 3 years of first production. In 2018 Bellzone announced it was unable to secure new funding and filed for liquidation. The following year the Guinean Government signed an agreement with Indian company Ashapura Minechem, with plans to restart operations. Product trial shipments were sent to India and China in 2020, with works underway to recommence operations pending successful results. Pending the clarity in the recommencement of exports, we have now included Yomboyeli in our modelling.
