Iron Bridge iron ore mine
Report summary
Iron Bridge is a magnetite mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is a joint venture between FMG Limited and Formosa Plastics Group after Formosa invested in the Iron Bridge Joint Venture in 2013. Iron Bridge will produce 22 Mtpa of a 67% Fe concentrate commenced in April 2023 at a revised capital cost of between US$3.5 billion and US$3.9 billion. The high Fe grade and low impurity concentrate will be highly valued by steel plants and will achieve a price premium relative to the 62% Fe fines index.
