Report summary

Iron Bridge is a magnetite project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. It is a joint venture between FMG Limited and Formosa Plastics Group after Formosa invested in the Iron Bridge Joint Venture in 2013. FMG has announced the development of Stage 2 of the mine and plans to produce 22 Mtpa of a 67% Fe concentrate commencing in 2022 at a capital cost of US$2.6 billion. The high Fe grade and low impurity concentrate will be highly valued by steel plants and will achieve a price premium relative to the 62% Fe fines index.
