Report summary
The Kunming smelter and refinery are located at Kunming, 10km West of the central Yunnan province. The Yunnan Copper Refinery with capacity of 30kt (Tankhouses 1 & 2) was constructed in 1967. In 1970 and 1982 Tankhouses 3 and 4 were put into operation and the total capacity was increased to 60kt. In1993 the refinery was modified and the capacity was expanded to 85kt/a.
