Zawar zinc mine
Report summary
The Zawar Group of mines is comprised of a cluster of 4 underground mines: Mochia, Balaria, Zawarmala and Baroi. Until relatively recently, these mines were the core of Hindustan Zinc Ltd's (HZL) mining operations, feeding the local Debari zinc smelter. Other undeveloped sections of the Zawar Lead-Zinc Belt include Somania, Rupania and Bawa. The mines are connected by both rail and road.
