In this insight we explore how recent M&A activity has changed the Western Canadian condensate market. ARC Resources now becomes the leader in WCSB condensate production following its merger with Seven Generations, controlling almost 20% of current WCSB condensate production. The company's future development plans will now have major implications for WCSB condensate and potentially Edmonton condensate pricing. Crescent Point also enters the condensate market, becoming the seventh largest condensate producer in the basin after its acquisition of Shell's Duvernay assets.
