Asset Report
Australia Canning exploration basin
Report summary
The Australian Canning basin is vastly underexplored, but with 5 discoveries made offshore since 2014 totalling approximately 507 mmboe, we anticipate a renewed optimism for offshore exploration and a positive prospective outlook to 2040. Our economic analysis focuses on the Bedout sub-basin play, where we expect sizable prospect pools ranging from 50 – 200 mmboe. Our creaming curve methodology has been positively impacted by the size and recency of discoveries resulting in an optimistic forecast of 425 mmboe of prospective resources.
