Asset Report
Colombia Upper Magdalena Valley exploration basin
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The Upper Magdalena Valley is a mature oil-prone basin located in the jungles of Colombia. Left-wing activists have a history of disrupting the oil and gas industry in the area, but operators have adapted and security concerns are effectively managed. Although the basin is mature with limited prospective resources, there is untested potential present in harder-to-identify traps. While the value of individual discoveries is small, successful exploration can yield healthy rates of return.
