Asset Report
Trinidad and Tobago Columbus exploration basin
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Trinidad and Tobago's Columbus Basin has a long history of oil and gas exploration and production, and is one of the highest gas-producing basins in Latin America. Material gas volumes continue to be found in the basin, and though its challenged due to decreasing discovery sizes and tough PSC terms, value creation is obtainable. State-run Heritage Petroleum Company, several majors, and independents all have interests in the basin, providing access to new acreage and farm-in opportunities.
