Twenty 2020 wildcats to watch
Report summary
High impact exploration will continue to play a key role in the industry. Despite mounting pressure from the Energy Transition, conventional exploration has seen double digit returns for three years in a row (2017-2019). In 2020, explorers will look for further success with the drillbit to maintain, and grow, this value creation. They must also look to find ‘better’ resource. Our wells mark some of the most important 20 wells to be completed in 2020. Included are wells that are geologically risky, potential play openers and targeting large or even giant prospects. Not all will be successful, but some will provide the best returns of the year.
