Upstream licensing round quarterly: Major reload continues
Report summary
The Upstream Licensing Round Quarterly will keep you up to date on all licensing round activity. Updates will be published in January, April, July and October. This month: Awards: Nine licensing rounds reported results in Q2. Brazil's 4th pre-salt round had the highest profile. In contrast, Iraq failed to attract the Majors. Europe saw contrasting fortunes, as the UK attracted more companies than Norway's frontier. Launches: 15 rounds launched in Q2. Two key rounds were launched in Egypt, by EGAS and EGPC. Ongoing rounds: As many as 15 rounds could report results in Q3. Multiple rounds in Australia, Indonesia, India and Mexico are all due to report. Future rounds: The UK's 31st Offshore Round launched in early July and potentially another 20 rounds could launch in Q3. However, delays to many are thought likely. Contents (PDF and XLS) 1.
