The Nam Con Son Basin is located off the southeast coast of Vietnam, and extends in an elongated NE-SW trend, parallel to the Cuu Long Basin. Water depths are typically less than 150 metres. Typhoons are relatively common in the region and this impacts drilling and production activities. Following a number of disappointing years in exploration, the basin is seeing an increase in upstream activity again. This Exploration Basin report provides a detailed analysis of exploration in this basin, including discovery and development costs, location maps and information about licensing and fiscal terms. We evaluate the yet-to-find volume and value potential. This report is accompanied by multiple excel downloads which detail costs, volumes and value.
