The Nam Con Son Basin is located off the southeast coast of Vietnam and extends in an elongated NE SW trend parallel to the Cuu Long Basin. Water depths are typically less than 150 metres. Typhoons are relatively common in the region and this impacts drilling and production activities. Following a number of disappointing years in exploration the basin is seeing an increase in upstream activity again. This Exploration Basin report provides a detailed analysis of exploration in this basin including discovery and development costs location maps and information about licensing and fiscal terms. We evaluate the yet to find volume and value potential. This report is accompanied by multiple excel downloads which detail costs volumes and value.
