Wells to Watch 2022: May update
Report summary
Exploration in 2022 has already been a triumph. Over 10 bnboe of discovered resource has been found, with Namibian discoveries highlighting the rewards of high- impact exploration. Five of our January wells to watch have completed so far, discovering 2.2 bnboe through two discoveries. High- impact, advantaged exploration will continue throughout 2022. The Majors and NOC’s will lead the way in wildcatting, unlocking some three-quarters of the sector’s anticipated 15-20 billion boe from new discoveries. Deepwater will remain an exclusive sector with few operators. We have added 12 wells to our selection of wells to watch. Our exploration well choices are reflective of the most interesting and impactful prospects globally. Activity Drilling will remain focused on basin hotspots where both Majors and NOC’s again dominate. In this pack you will find out the latest news on our January choice of wells; learn who is drilling what and when for the remainder of the year.
