On 23 September, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order setting an ambitious target to transition all new passenger vehicles in the state to zero emissions by 2035. The transition will include off-road vehicles and equipment as well as drayage trucks. The order further states that all medium and heavy trucks should transition to zero emissions by 2045.
