Reduced oil supply outages: an extra test for OPEC's strategy

Unplanned supply outages fell to 3.1 million b/d at the end of 2016, the lowest level seen since 2013, and a considerable drop from a high of 4.6 million b/d seen May of this year. This influx of production comes at a challenging time for OPEC following its agreement to cut production in H1 2017.
