Report summary
This quarterly briefing provides an overview of the solar module supply chain in the quarter prior. The briefing draws insight from our monthly Global PV supply chain pulse, which provides historical PV manufacturing capacity and pricing information; forecasts of global polysilicon, wafer, cell and module capacity and production; and cost and pricing estimates along the entire solar value chain. It also provides solar cell efficiency and module power class forecasts for six types of technologies. Starting in 2021, the Global PV supply chain pulse and associated briefings will include quarterly pricing forecasts through 2022, and all annual forecasts have been extended from 2025 to 2026. This release also includes the monthly Global PV supply chain pulse data sheet for July 2021.
