This regional report presents our latest 10-year outlook for solar PV development in Western Europe, with a focus on major markets like Germany, France and the Netherlands. Cumulative solar PV capacity in the region will grow from around 145 GWdc by 2023 to 390 GWdc by 2032. Germany will lead solar buildout across the region. Over the last year, Wood Mackenzie has incorporated more depth and detail on country-specific distributed solar markets in our quarterly regional European reports. We will continue to analyse how policy and economic factors draw increasingly more attention to distributed solar in Europe.
