Will COVID-19 disrupt gas and power markets?: Southeast power and renewables February 2020 short-term outlook
Report summary
COVID-19 itself has not yet directly impacted US power demand, as average daily demand has stayed nearly the same compared to the same time last year although dropped around 5% compared to last month. On the supply side, the disease’s spread has squeezed the global economy and brought disruptions to supply chains, including for the solar and wind industry. Production delays could impact both wind turbines and solar panels significantly.
