ADNOC recently announced the closure of its Umm al Nar, also known as Abu Dhabi, refinery. The refinery was built in 1976 and has a hydroskimming configuration. Due to recent pandemic related losses, and ADNOC optimisation strategy focussing on Ruwais refinery, the decision was made to close Umm al Nar.
