Report summary
The Antrim is a shallow shale gas play primarily located in the northern section of the Michigan Basin. The play has been heavily developed beginning with the Section 29 unconventional asset tax credits which were introduced in the 1980s. Annual production from the Antrim is now declining at roughly 5% per year.
