Asset Report
Canol tight oil unconventional concept play
Report summary
The Upper Devonian Canol is situated in the Mackenzie Plain Basin which sits between the Mackenzie Mountains to the west and the Franklin Mountains to the east. The eastern portion of the Canol appears to be a preferential place to drill thus far; the five exploratory wells drilled to date are located here. However, early well placement could be related to infrastructure proximity rather than certain geologic features.
