Junggar Basin CBM unconventional play
Report summary
The Junggar Basin is located in the Xinjiang Province in northwestern China. The basin is an emerging CBM producing region. Obtaining access to drilling sites is a challenge as there are many landowners involved and some of the most prospective areas are heavily populated. Planning permission for wells can also take time, with each well requiring consent. However, these issues can be overcome through the correct planning and consultation with local authorities and groups.
