The Qinshui Basin, located within Shanxi Province is one of the focal CBM development areas in China. According to the Chinese government, the basin contains approximately 15% of the country's total CBM resources. The Chinese NOCs, control the best CBM acreage and own the pipeline infrastructure in China, and will dictate the timetable for development in accordance with their overarching strategic objectives.
