Report summary
The Late Devonian Domanik is the organic-rich carbonate–siliceous source rock behind much of the Volga–Urals petroleum system, and one of Russia's largest unconventional oil opportunities. We anchor our technically recoverable resource estimate to the USGS: 2.8 billion barrels of oil and 34 Tcf of gas. The play is still at the appraisal and technology-pilot stage.
