2017 Oman licensing round blocks on offer: shapefile
Report summary
Oman's 2017 licensing round runs from 20 September to 31 December 2017, with four onshore blocks on offer. Located in northern Oman, the blocks include Block 43B, 47, 51 and 65. The four blocks include exposure to conventional oil and gas exploration targets and also unconventional potential in the Natih E member. Activity in blocks 43B, 47 and 51 has been limited in recent years, having been unlicensed for a number of years. Block 65 was recently operated by OOCEP as part of a study agreement, where a potentially significant discovery was made, with this block likely to be of most interest to investors.
