Report summaryThe Aasta Hansteen development is located in over 1,300 metres of water, 125 kilometres north of the Norne field in the Norwegian Sea. The area includes the Luva, Snefrid Nord, Snefrid Sør and Haklang fields. The first field was discovered in 1997, but remained undeveloped due to the technical and commercial challenges in this remote area of the Norwegian Sea.
