The Adhi gas/condensate field is located in the Punjab, approximately 65 kilometres south of Islamabad. It was discovered by Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) in 1978 and was brought onstream for the production of liquids in 1980. In May 1986 it was temporarily shut-in to allow the installation of gas separation facilities, an LPG/NGL plant, and associated gas transmission facilities.
