The Aghar (West Razzak) oil field is located in the Western Desert approximately 66 kilometres southwest of the El Hamra terminal.Wepco originally targeted the Aghar prospect in 1970, but withdrew from the acreage after testing non-commercial oil. Agiba discovered Aghar in 1985 and brought the field onstream in 1992. Aghar produced over 6,000 b/d at its peak but has been in decline since 2000.
