Report summary
Albert Kaloa is an Aurora-operated, shallow, gas field and is located five kilometres east of the company's Nicolai Creek field. Albert Kaloa was originally brought onstream in 1970 by Amoco. Production ceased the following year after extensive sand invasion and the well was abandoned due to prohibitive repair costs. Aurora successfully completed the Kaloa 2 well on 6 August 2004 with production beginning in October of the same year.
