The Anning & Somerville gas fields lie 85 kilometres northeast of the Bacton gas terminal. Somerville (previously named Viking Wx) was discovered by Conoco in 1969 and produced from 1998 to 2015. Anning (previously named Victoria) was discovered by Silverstone Energy in 2007. Silverstone developed the field as a subsea tie-back to the Viking facilities, which are now ceased.
