Asia-Pacific upstream: what to look for in 2016
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
We offer our predictions for key upstream events and trends to watch in 2016 in Asia-Pacific. We expect a rise in M&A, particularly non-core divestments from the Majors and larger IOCs. Low oil prices will continue to challenge pre-FID projects, but Chinese NOCs will persevere with high-cost domestic shale plays. We also expect tentative moves towards fiscal reform in region - as falling prices and spend hits government revenues - and oil and gas changes in China's upcoming 13th five year plan. Major project start-ups to watch include Gorgon LNG and PETRONAS FLNG 1.
Table of contents
