Australia among the world leaders in LNG production capacity. Its current position is built on the legacy production from North West Shelf (1989), Darwin (2005) and Pluto (2011), the period between 2015 and 2019 saw over 60 mmtpa of LNG capacity brought onstream. In Western Australia, Gorgon (2016), Wheatstone (2018) and Prelude FLNG (2019) almost doubled the state's export capacity.
