Report summary
Azar is one of Iran's more recent discoveries. The field lies within the prolific Zagros fold-belt and are located 300 kilometres northwest of the city of Ahvaz. Azar is shared with Iraq, where it is called Badra, therefore its development is strategically important to Iran.
