Report summary
Bentu and Korinci Baru PSCs are contiguous gas producing blocks near Pekanbaru in Riau Province. Both blocks are operated by Energi Mega Persada (EMP), which operates them as a single business unit whereby the Bentu PSC utilises facilities on the Korinci Baru PSC through a facilities sharing agreement. In 2017, EMP was awarded a 20-year extension for Bentu PSC effective from May 2021. Since 2018, the operator has focused on developing the Seng and Segat fields on the Bentu PSC. These fields contribute to nearly all gas production for both Bentu and Korinci Baru PSC.
