The Bergen concession is a small onshore gas production area on the western coast of the Netherlands. It comprises the Alkmaar, Bergen, Bergermeer, Groet, Schermer, Starnmeer and Zuid Schermer fields, and part of the West Beemster field. Production started in the 1970s, so the area is mature. The Bergen, Groet and Schermer fields will cease as the Bergen II licence expires at the end of 2023, but we expect production from West Beemster to continue into the late 2020s.Gas is processed at a ...
