Report summary
The Bergen concession is a small onshore gas production area on the western coast of the Netherlands. It comprises the Alkmaar, Bergen, Bergermeer, Groet, Schermer, Starnmeer and Zuid Schermer fields, and part of the West Beemster field. Production started in the 1970s, so the area is mature. We expect production from the fields to continue into the mid 2030s.Gas is processed at a central gas treatment plant located at Koedijk to the north of the concession.
