Sichuan Basin (PetroChina)
Report summary
The Sichuan Basin, predominantly a gas-prone basin, is one of PetroChina's three large gas-producing regions in its domestic portfolio. After over half-a-decade exploration, PetroChina has discovered more than 150 gas fields so far, including the large conventional gas field Anyue, the shale gas fields Weiyuan-Changning, Zhaotong and Taiyang, and many other conventional and tight gas fields.
