Big Bend (MC 698)
Report summary
Big Bend (MC 698) is a medium-sized Miocene oil and associated gas field in the Mississippi Canyon protraction area. The field was discovered by Noble Energy in November 2012 but acquired by Fieldwood Energy (now QuarterNorth Energy) in 2018. Big Bend is developed as a 28 kilometre (17 mile) subsea tie-back to SBM Offshore's Thunder Hawk semi-submersible platform. First oil was achieved in October 2015 via one well.
