The onstream Bir El Msana (BMS) oil field is located in eastern Algeria, in the prolific Berkine Basin. It is operated by CEPSA (75%), partnered with Sonatrach (25%).The field was discovered by Hess in 2003 and the then partners- Petronas Carigali and Sonatrach were awarded a development licence in 2007.In 2011, the partners awarded a US$167 million (nominal) EPC contract to Hyundai to build a 13 kb/d central processing facility, connecting pipelines, and associated infrastructure with a ...
