The onstream Bir Seba oil and gas development is located in southeast Algeria, around 100 kilometres north of the giant Hassi Messaoud oil field. It is operated by a Joint Venture of PetroVietnam, PTTEP and Sonatrach. Three fields have been discovered on the acreage: Bir Seba, Mouiat Oulad Messaoud (MOM) and HBHJ. The original Bir Seba discovery was made by Mobil in 1995 but was deemed sub commercial following appraisal drilling in 2000 and relinquished.A production sharing contract (PSC) ...
