Block 17 is a deepwater block in the Lower Congo Basin, 130 kilometres offshore Angola. There are four production hubs, each based around a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO). Rosa was the third development on the block to be brought onstream, and was tied into the block's first production hub, the Girassol FPSO. First oil was achieved in 2007, with production quickly rising to a peak of more than 100,000 b/d. The other hubs on the block are Dalia/Camelia, CLOV, ...
