Block 46/07 is in the Malay Basin, 150 kilometres southwest of Ca Mau province in Vietnam. The acreage was originally awarded to Mitra Energy (now Jadestone Energy) and PetroVietnam E&P (PVEP) in 2010. The Nam Du gas field was discovered in mid-2013. The operator has yet to sanction the field development despite multiple FDP submissions and Heads of Agreement (HoA) signed since 2015.
