Report summary
Block 46/02 is located in the Malay Basin, 144 kilometres southwest of Ca Mau province. The acreage was awarded to Talisman, Petronas Carigali and PetroVietnam, with the Truong Son Joint Operating Company (JOC) subsequently formed to operate the block. The block contains the Song Doc field which was brought onstream in November 2008 via a small wellhead platform tied back to a floating, platform, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.
