Block 50 lies off Oman's east coast near the town of Duqm, around 400 kilometres south of Muscat. It hosts Oman's only offshore producing oilfield in the Arabian Sea and the only producing field in the Masirah Basin. Masirah Oil, a company largely owned by Singapore-based Rex International Holding, operates the block.
